A 4-stage filtration system removes dirt and food particles from the water, while a pre-filter sponge catches loose fur and debris before it can reach and clog the pump.

The pump itself runs under 40 decibels using a low-power motor design, keeping the fountain quiet enough not to be disruptive in a shared living space. Three different flow patterns are available by adjusting the flower-shaped cover, giving a choice between a gentle waterfall effect, a bubbling flow, or a softer, quieter fountain stream depending on what draws your particular cat's interest most.

For ongoing care, it's recommended to change the water and clean the fountain weekly; the whole unit is dishwasher safe. If the fountain becomes noticeably loud, that's usually a sign of low water level or a dirty impeller, so checking and cleaning the impeller along with topping up the tank typically resolves it. The pre-filter sponge and filter element should be replaced roughly every two weeks.
