momomoca's Large Cat Litter Mat uses a double-layer design to catch litter that gets kicked out of the box, stopping it well before it spreads down a hallway or across the rest of the room. Granules fall through the perforated top layer and settle into a pocket underneath, where they stay contained rather than getting kicked back out with the next step a cat takes.

At 90 by 60 centimetres, the mat is sized to cover the full exit path from a standard litter box, which matters since most tracking genuinely happens in the first couple of steps rather than further away. A waterproof base protects the floor underneath from any spills, and a non-slip underside keeps the whole mat from sliding out of place when a cat jumps on or off it.

Cleaning is simple: lift the mat open and tip the trapped litter back into the box, then rinse or wipe the surface as needed. Most cats walk across it without hesitation, though if yours seems reluctant at first, leaving the mat flat near the box for a few days before pushing it directly against the entrance tends to help it become part of the normal routine.
